Happy people makes healthy people. When you feel happy you are capable of making good and healthy choices. But the question remains: when do you call yourself a “happy” person? For me, personally, being happy is doing what you love to do. Living a life you love is possible for everyone. For most people happiness is a choice but it all starts with knowing the secrets of happy people...

1. Happy people don't compare themselves to others
Compare yourself to the person from yesterday rather than comparing yourself to others. Happy people treat and see everyone equally. They don’t try to prove you’re wrong. They accept different opinions and embrace them. They don’t judge or condemn. Focusing on your own happiness and success is important. This only works out when you’re not busy being jealous and worrying about somebody else’s life.
2. Happy people get enough sleep, exercise and eat healthy
This may sound logical but I think still worth mentioning. Eating healthy, working out and getting enough rest have a direct influence on your happiness. Therefore it’s extremely important to not forget about these important factors of getting a happy person.
3. Happy people are grateful
Gratitude is essential for happiness. In order to be satisfied with yourself you have to truly appreciate everything you have in life. Start expressing your gratitude openly for all the amazing things you have. Forget what you "could" have and start focusing on what you do have. If you aren’t grateful, you will always remain looking for more, no matter how much you already have.
4. Happy people surround themselves with other happy people
One defining characteristic of happy people is they tend to hang out with other happy people. If you’re struggling with, depression, worry, or anger, spend more time with your happiest friends. Chances are, their happiness will cheer you up and eventually make you a happier person!
